Taking Flight at Elite Air

August 23, 2015

The boys were excited for Flight!  My 6 & 2 year old boys joyfully cleaned up their toys and climbed into the car once they heard we were going to Elite Air Trampoline Park.  We grabbed our neighbor friend and headed off.  As we entered the building, I was pleasantly surprised at the bright green and purple Elite Air logos everywhere.  It was very inviting & the boys couldn’t contain themselves!  We were warmly greeted right away and it was easy to fill out the waiver on one of the many computers available.  Once we were fitted for flight socks, we headed straight into the jumping area.

As we entered, I was impressed with the giant banners that accentuated the walls perfectly just like their online pictures.  Then I noticed that there were probably over 50 trampolines!  I scanned the space and saw the foam pit, dodge ball area, and slam dunk zones.  Next, I saw plenty of kids jumping, laughing, and having a blast!

My boys didn’t waste a second!  They took off for flight and started jumping in every direction.  First they headed to the foam pit where my toddler could no longer keep up with a 6 and 8 year old.  This area was lined with purple and green foam cube pieces.  This is definitely a kid’s dream come true to jump and land in the soft pit.  After the foam pit, the boys headed to the dodge ball area.  I don’t know about you, but dodge ball is an absolute favorite for me.  Ahhh…the years of pelting my friends in P.E. class!

I noticed that there were a lot of staff members available to watch as the children jumped.  As a mom, I appreciated their concern about safety and it made me more comfortable letting my toddler jump.  Several times they had to get after him because he wasn’t being safe and I was glad that they were being protective.  I was even able to meet, Matt, the owner and his family.  They were very nice and answered a lot of my questions.  He explained that they have teen nights in which they turn the lights off and everything glows.  I thought that was pretty cool and Lafayette needed a great new teen hang out space.

After jumping for quite a while my toddler and I had to get some refreshment so we got a drink at the water fountain.  I could hear the Elite Air promo video playing so we rested and watched it.  It explained we were ready for “flight”.  I thought that was a unique theme of relating jumping to airplane flying.  There was plenty of comfortable space for people to sit and observe while the kids played which is key for me to be able to rest and still keep an eye on the boys.  They also had video games and picnic tables for parties.  It seemed like a great place for a Birthday party and they even had a special room that could be rented for more privacy.  After jumping, resting, jumping, water breaks, and jumping some more, our time was up.  We had to land soon and that meant our Elite Air flight was over.  We exited the landing ramp and headed for home knowing that we would take flight again in our near future.
