After observing me go for years, my son had been patiently waiting for his turn to go to the dentist. He'd been asking for months and I couldn't make him wait any longer. I knew his teeth were in great shape, but a visit to the dentist was in order. I tried to keep it a secret because I knew once he figured out when the appointment was, he'd start counting down the minutes. I'm sure you can relate! He was tipped off by the phone call reminder and couldn't stop talking about his first visit!
Finally, the day arrived and he jumped out of bed. He was so thrilled to go that he brushed his teeth immediately after breakfast. He even skipped his snack because he wanted his teeth to be perfect. HA!
We arrived on time and were warmly greeted by the receptionist. I didn't even finish his paper work and was immediately welcomed back for his x-rays. Love the no wait! The dental hygienist lead us to his cleaning chair. She is a sweetheart who is always friendly and personable. I love that she remembers details about my family and me. It's always nice to chat with her during the cleaning which makes time go even faster.
Unfortunately, the lack of morning snack was taking it's toil and he was getting a little grouchy. Overall, he did an excellent job during his cleaning and examination. He was so excited with his new tooth brush and paste. It's the little things! Dr. Jones let us know that his teeth were in great shape and that he was doing a good job brushing.
