Civic Theatre’s education classes are a safe, supportive environment where your child will enjoy theatre training, fun activities, and have a blast on stage! And the best part? They’ll meet new friends and grow as performers, or theatre artists in the process.
Come join us for a Musical Theatre Choreography Workshop! Participants will learn how choreography helps tell the story, specifically with songs from the musical Seussical. Students will learn various choreography techniques, and then create their own unique choreography to teach to their classmates. This session will culminate with a short performance of their favorite dances for family and friends to enjoy!
For teens we have a wide variety of classes including Teen Troupe, Stand-up Comedy, Costuming for the Beginner, and Intro to Stage Management.
For young actors, we have Intro to Acting. This intro level class is designed to help young actors learn the basics of performance including stage directions, movement, voice, expression, character development, self-awareness, and ensemble-building. This class will culminate in a performance for family and friends during the final half of the last day of class.
