Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette has its Civic Youth Theatre season opener on October 20th with the Indiana debut of Airness. This rocking show follows a young woman who finds herself in the ridiculous world of air guitar contests. Follow Nina as she learns that just because you don’t actually have a guitar in your hands, doesn’t mean you can’t make incredible music when she befriends the likes of Shreddy Eddy, Golden Thunder, Facebender, and Cannibal Queen in her quest to become an air guitar champion.
Airness features music from bands like Quiet Riot, Boston, REO Speedwagon, The Ramones, Pat Benatar, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Joan Jett, and many more. This show is for all ages and will show that no matter how ridiculous something may seem, if you put your heart and soul into it, then it can mean so much.
