Description
It's a TOTAL ECLIPSE IN THE PARK! On Monday, April 8, 2024 central Indiana will experience a total solar eclipse and several local schools have cancelled session for the day. CPZ will be offering a one-day camp experience for kids, with included extended care, to allow parents to work and still provide a great, safe eclipse viewing experience for their kids! Kids ages 5-11 are eligible to attend. Members receive a 15% discount on the registration fee!
Day camp activities will revolve around the science of eclipses (pun absolutely intended!) and amazing animal adaptations for life on planet Earth. We will make crafts, play games, meet amazing Animal Ambassadors and enjoy the big event in the afternoon with provided eclipse glasses that the kids can take home as a souvenir.
Camp hours run 9am-4pm, but because totality is expected a few minutes after 3pm and there may be traffic impacts for some time afterwards, we are including FREE extended care with this session! Please select the Extended Care option to sign up if you will need it for the morning session only from 7:30-9:00am. You won't be charged, but it helps us with planning to know who to expect for early arrival! Pick-up is anytime 4:00-5:30pm.
