Description

While adults shop local on Small Business Saturday, kids can dive into a world of creativity at our Giftable Art Workshop! This drop-off event is designed to give young artists the chance to create special, giftable art pieces that will delight family and friends this holiday season. Each workshop has a different focus so you can sign up for one or several! From handmade ornaments to personalized keepsakes, children will have fun experimenting with various materials and techniques in a supportive and festive environment.
Extended play availability!
If you'd like an addition 30 minutes after the workshop you're registering for, we have the option to add that on at checkout! This is a great way to extend their creating time, extend your shopping time, or segue from one workshop to the next without stopping. By selecting 2 workshops and the extended play, artists could potentially enjoy a 3.5 hour creative journey!
Workshop Details:
11/30 12-1:30- Cozy Ceramic Creations (6-11 years old)
Kids will personalize ceramic mugs with special paint markers and colorful designs. Then they will paint and decorate small ceramic trinket dishes to create beautiful, functional art pieces for holding jewelry, keys, or special treasures. These custom dishes make thoughtful gifts for family members! Finally, they'll get to create ceramic ornaments with an abstract alcohol ink technique.

11/30 2-3:30- Wooden Wonders (6-11 years old)
In this hands-on session, young artists will bring warmth to the holiday season with beautiful wooden crafts. They’ll decorate a wooden spoon rest perfect for a cozy kitchen, a wooden circle ornament to adorn a tree, and a wooden tree decoration that adds a festive touch to any room. The workshop will focus on painting techniques, creative patterns, and adding special touches to make each item gift-worthy.

11/30 4-5:30- Handmade Holiday for Teens (11+ years old)
This workshop invites older kids to experiment with materials to make a trio of elegant, handmade gifts. Participants in this DIY gift-making session will have the choice to design and create three custom items, combining wood, ceramics, and textiles. Projects may include a hand-painted wooden ornament or spoon rest, a decorative ceramic trinket dish or mug, and a fabric item like a hand-stamped tea towel or apron. This workshop provides a chance to learn fabric stamping, ceramic painting, and wood embellishing, making it ideal for older artists looking to expand their skills.

Our experienced instructors will guide kids through each project, ensuring they leave with beautiful, ready-to-gift creations. They'll even have an opportunity to wrap it in our gift wrapping station. All materials are provided, and parents can enjoy a stress-free shopping day knowing their little ones are having a blast making holiday treasures!
