Class Experience:
Unleash your creativity in this inspiring art class designed specifically for older elementary artists, ages 9-12.
Advanced Art Exploration combines the excitement of process-based art with structured lessons that build essential art skills, encourage self-expression, and foster a deeper understanding of artistic techniques and concepts.
Each class is a stand-alone experience, but together they create a cohesive 10-week semester designed to help artists grow and flourish. We highly encourage enrolling for the full semester to maximize skill development. At the end of the semester, families and the community will be invited to celebrate student achievements during an open studio exhibit- the Art Show.
Class Highlights:
- Process Art Exploration: Focus on the creative journey, experimenting with a variety of techniques and materials. Students will learn to embrace mistakes, explore their imagination, and develop a personal artistic voice.
- Skill Building: Explore fundamental art concepts, such as color theory, composition, and art history, through engaging projects tailored to challenge and excite this age group.
- Thematic Inspiration: Each session features imaginative themes and creative prompts to captivate young minds and inspire meaningful artwork.

Age Suggestion: early elementary, e.g., 9-12 years old
Materials Needed: All art supplies will be provided. Children are encouraged to wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect their clothing.
Instructor: Miss Amanda– Owner and founder of Flourish. A dedicated art educator with a passion for fostering creativity in young artists and experience through process art.
Notes:
This is a drop-off program. Artists can be dropped off up to 5 minutes before class begins and should be picked up within 5 minutes after class is over. Late fees will be charged to habitually late arrivals.
