Class Experience:
Dive into a world of creativity with Art Exploration, a dynamic class designed specifically for early, elementary-aged artists and homeschool families. This engaging program combines the joy of process art with a structured curriculum to introduce and develop essential art concepts, techniques, and fundamentals in a magical and fun environment.
Each class is offered independently, but they are designed to build off of each other in the full, 10 week semester. If possible, we strongly encourage you to enroll for the full semester. At the end of the semester, we will highlight their work with an open exhibit at the studio for their families and the community to enjoy.
Class Highlights:
- Process Art: Emphasize the journey of creating art rather than just the final product. Children will explore various techniques and materials, learning to enjoy and experiment with the creative process itself. Activities will focus on exploration and personal expression, fostering a love for art.
- Curriculum Focus: Each session integrates fundamental art concepts such as color theory, art elements and history. Through carefully designed projects and activities, children will build a strong foundation in art while understanding key concepts and having fun! Every class is infused with imaginative themes and creative prompts to inspire wonder and excitement.

Age Suggestion: early elementary, e.g., 5-9 years old
Materials Needed: All art supplies will be provided. Children are encouraged to wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect their clothing.
Instructor: Miss Amanda– Owner and founder of Flourish. A dedicated art educator with a passion for fostering creativity in young artists and experience through process art.
Notes:
This is a drop-off program. Artists can be dropped off up to 5 minutes before class begins and should be picked up within 5 minutes after class is over. Late fees will be charged to habitually late arrivals.
